Warrick
Dunn became the first Florida State running back to rush over 1,000 yards
in three seasons. He finished as the Seminole all-time career leader in
rushing with 3,959 yards, passing up Greg Allens 3,769 (1981-1984). Warrick
averaged 6.9 yards per carry as a collegian, a Seminole record and the
best by a NCAA Divsion 1-A player in 50 years!! Last player to do that
was Army's Glenn Davis (1943-1946). Warrick was also considered one of
the nations best pass catching back, catch 132 passes for 1,314 yards.
Dunn recored 47 touchdowns for the Seminoles, breaking Allen's record 46
touchdowns. Warrick Dunn is an allround player, completing 3 of 7 passes
for 98 yards!! Warrick never missed a game, having played in 48 consective
games. He also broke another one of Allens records, in all purpose yards.
Allen put up 4,996 yards, but Dunn shattered that record with a record
setting 5,321 all purpose yards. In 21 of 48 games Dunn had 100 yard games,
the most in school history. In May Warrick Dunn gratuated with a bachelor's
degree in imformation studies.
